Shawn managed to grab his phone and with absolute disdain, he turned off the alarm and tossed his phone to the other side of the bed. He adjusted, tucking himself further under the duvet, he was ready to enjoy his sleep. The alarm had distorted his sound rest having gone to bed a bit late. He was barely getting back to dream land when first, a vibration and then the sonorous voice of "Lighthouse Family" rented his cosy room; it was his phone ringing again. Shawn always woke at the faintest of sound so it was absolutely impossible for him not to have heard his phone buzzing. He simply ignored for a while.
He cursed in his heart and with utter frustration, he reached for his phone but by the time he picked it up, the call had dropped. Without any iota of care and much to his satisfaction, he withdrew his hand and prepared to sleep again. Just then, it was Lighthouse Family one more time; his phone began ringing. This time, he grabbed the phone completely irritated. He didn't care who the caller was; he was ready to switch the phone to airplane mode and then respite from his tormentors. Who on earth was calling him by 5:08am after all? As he beheld the screen, his face widened with unbelief; it was the Honourable Commissioner for Health on the phone. He practically threw the duvet off his body, sat upright and promptly picked the call. In less than a minute, the call ended and he was hurled in a fix. The call for what would be a major break for him and his company had come through.
He and his Team have been invited for a meeting with the Executive Governor in a day's time; having been on track with the Commissioner and her Team for almost 3 months, the back and forth seemed endless until Kovic 1..9 sorry Covid-19 placed a temporary seal on any further engagement and suddenly, here was the long awaited invitation. But there is a lockdown in his State and interstate travel has also been banned and there was no flight to the state they would be heading to.
